Jimmy is a registered psychologist, an organizational development management trainer and consultant, teacher, and counsellor.  His notable engagements include the Philippine Postal Corporation; Holy Angel University, Far Eastern University, De La Salle University, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Department of Trade and Industry, Philippine National Police Chaplain Service, DuPont Far-East Philippines, South East Asia Interdisciplinary Institute, and Veterans Memorial Medical Center.

Jimmy acquired the degree of Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the De La Salle University (1995), M.A. in Ateneo de Manila University (1985) and Bachelor of Sacred Theology S.T.B and in Philosophy A.B. at the University of Santo Tomas (1974) and Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary (1970) respectively.  Organizational work experiences include having been: OD Specialist of BSP, Program Director and Vice President of the Center for Integrated Development and Social Marketing (1993-2000); Human Resource Manager of the Philippine Survey and Research Center (1990-1992); Chaplain of the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (1983-85); Prefect of Discipline of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary (1978-82).
